As a new-player we have to innovate during and after the pandemic

The pandemic of COVID-19 that ravaged the world starting in 2019, has forced many companies to innovate beyond their normal capabilities. The shortage of respectable means of burying loved ones during the pandemic has forced Bafokeng Royal Coffins and Caskets (RBC) to answer this clarion call – to give some degree of dignity to Africans who have departed during this pandemic. Located in both Johannesburg and Phuthaditjhaba (QwaQwa), Royal Bafokeng Coffins and Caskets (Pty) Ltd is a new, but innovative player in the coffin-making industry. Our emergence during the lockdown periods in South Africa is testament to our team’s innovative spirit and never-say-die attitude.

RBC makes coffins and high-end, top-tier caskets from scratch. We also offer training and in-take of carpentry artisans and interns in the industry. We employ mostly women on short-term, ad-hoc and long term basis because we understand that they are the foundation of economics.
