Bafokeng Royal Caskets (BRC) is a coffin-maker of high-end, top-of-the-range customised caskets.

We make off-the-shelves coffins and caskets for the public and for corporate clients. We also offer custom designed caskets for client’s requirements. Bafokeng Royal Caskets is a registered company with workshops in Johannesburg and Phuthaditjhaba. We have applied for membership of National Funeral Directors Association of Southern Africa.

Caskets & coffin-making

We are wood coffin-makers specialising in fine traditional African trimming. Our young team is supervised by experienced senior staff. We have two workshops in Joburg and in Phuthaditjhaba with another in Cape Town in the near future.

Training & Development

We offer training in coffinmaking and casketmaking and its related functions. We also take artisan interns to gain experience in our company. We rent out our staff and workshops for training and examination purposes

Sales, Consulting & Advisory

Our sales teams offer consulting and advisory to our clients. Our advisory roles are extended to our clients to help them acquire the best products for their diverse clients. This forms part of our client retention and after-sales support.

Coffin
Manufacturing

We manufacture pine coffins in three colours – white, natural and African mahogany for our entry-level clients and it is our most popular product. It is always adorned in gold or bronze.

Casket
Manufacturing

Our make high-end caskets, with a traditional blanket interior and finishing. The pride of our casket range is the Royal Classic Casket with the sculpture of a traditional totem animal. 

Furniture
Making

We make bespoke furniture for clients looking for a specific African feel to their furniture that they cannot find it in retail stores. We manufacture for discerning clients who want unique pieces.

Custom
Carpentry

We are often invited to make custom carpentry items for clients – including office furniture, private homes and other establishments such as restaurants, eateries and schools.

Our main clients are societies, schemes, parlours direct sales to the public.

Our main clients are corporates and businesses in the funeral industry. We deliver bulk orders for these businesses and organisations. Where possible and necessary, we will provide our services to government as per their requirements. Our coffins and caskets adhere to the strict COVID-19 regulations as per government requirements.
